Latest News: BASF and Toda Industry Co., Ltd. (Toda Kogyo) announced that they will further expand the production capacity of cathode active materials of BASF Toda Battery Materials Co., Ltd. (BASF Toda) in Onoda, Japan.
BASF Toda is a joint venture between BASF and Toda Industries (66% BASF and 34% Toda Industries) established in 2015. Construction of new capacity at Onoda site to start in 2022
Started in the fourth quarter of 2019 and is expected to enter production in the second half of 2024. By 2025, BASF’s Toda will have an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons of high-nickel cathode active materials (CAM).
